be at work at 9:55. work your ass off, sometimes even through your lunch break which they will deduct 30 min for anyways, then go home at 9 pm too exhausted to do anything. your fellow employees will feel the same way, and you probably wont get too many chances to get to know them before they get fed up and leave or are fired for being 3 minutes late to a 9 am morning meeting, or not asking for a customers name on 2 phone shops, go on vacation only to come back and see someone else in your desk, etc.
you have to wear aarons uniforms which they charge $30 a piece for. and you need one for every day of the week.
Your customer base generally consists of the areas lowest forms of life, wife beaters, drug addicts, etc, pretty much all of the garbage who tried and failed doing buisiness with rent-a-center.
There is a very low chance of promotion, and you'll start making right around $9 an hour. regional staff visits once a week to threaten your general managers job and tell him all of the things he's doing improperly even though hes working 13 hours a day 6 days a week for them. as a lower employee who is exhausted with a smaller workload and less hours, you find it hard to keep going back every morning and make 5-7 million a year for a bunch of corporate bums on your location alone when you struggle to make more then $800 every two weeks.
your typical day at aarons is as a slave with little value to its master. if you want to sell your life away, one week at a time for $400, then this is the job for you

The reviews on here are correct. As a manager in training I have heard the same lies and experienced the same deciet and low pay with promises. It's hard to believe in a company who milks people for money in an econcomy when some people are struggling for food. The worst part is most of those people struggling for food are there own associates. I am getting out.

They promise the world... deliver hell. When I was hired they told me all about the management fast track program, 3-6 months to become a store manager... it's been two years. Every 2 or 3 months for the last 18 I have heard a different story about change and a promotion coming soon. There is no upward mobility because they will not fire they incompetent managers that they have, they threaten them on a weekly basis and even promise their jobs to other people, but they never make changes.
The pay is garbage and they admit it, claiming they dont want you to be content to be an associate, they want people who want to be managers. I personnaly heard a vice president of the company admit to regional manager that he was embarrased what they pay associates. You do not get to be present for your semi annual review. In 2 years there I never saw anyone get a raise. The work week is horrible, on average employees in my store were getting paid for about 80% of the hours the worked.

The problems: No potential to grow(they tell you this, but a damn lie)!!
The supervisors Think they something, but not a damn thing but what the lies Aarons tell them.
Horrible benefits, might as well be on welfare. Welfare people get more benefits than us!!
Work enviroment: I never saw so many people stress out over SO LITTLE PAY IN MY LIFE!!!
