I work for Alpine, while it's not the best company I have ever worked for it's a job. It allows me to work from home. I do as is expected of me, I come to work and am logged in on time, hit metrics, take calls all day from customers, complainers yes sometimes but not all. I work in customer service tech support what do you expect the calls to be? All happy their connection does not work?
Alpine could pay ALOT better, have ALOT better benefits but it does allow me to work from home and be here when my kids go to and from school. People complaining about it being a sweat shop and being forced to work there?!? No one forces you to do anything, you either do it or you don't.
Work place drama? Only for those that are looking for it. There is a couple on my current program who focus only on causing drama and bad talking others. This is a job not middle school. Get over it and get over yourselves. If you're not happy working at Alpine then move on, again no one FORCES you to be there. I've never seen so many complainers or miserable people in my life til I came to this site...wow is all I can say. If I was that miserable, I would not work here.
One thing I have learned working for Alpine, if the management is riding you, you are not doing your job correctly. If they are sending emails, posts in the room then something is not being done right, metrics are not being met and the client is not happy. Client not happy turns into client leaving Alpine and you not having a job any longer?!?
Again, this is not the best company I've ever worked for but it is a job, in this economy you can't find one paying $10/hr for you to work outside the home let alone to work from home. Be grateful you have a job and if you're miserable then find another one. It's that simple.
