Working at American Premier Financial — Reviews by Employees

AP FInancial is a scam. You are lured into the enormous "potential" pay possibilities, which will NEVER come to pass. They use you for your personal contacts and make money from "trainees", who in turn must produce a certain number of clients/gross revenue for the company in order to even become licensed. Everything described in the initial "trainings" is FALSE and a complete LIE! They claim benefits that are never offered. They encourage you to push investments on clients based on the payout they receive, NOT what's appropriate for the client. It's a complete SCAM! I read these comments when I first started working there and thought the past employees didn't try hard enough or were bitter about leaving the company...I wish I had listened to my first intuitions. I wasted 6 months there and only made $1,400!!! I was told that within 6 months I would be at a level that averaged $4,000/month...NO ONE AT THAT COMPANY IS MAKING THAT!!! It's a revolving door that you should stay away from. Don't even go to the interview!!! They pass your resume and information you provide (10 local contacts...hmmmm!) to other employees to use as possible leads. It's a complete rip-off! Please learn from my mistake, and don't waste your time or hard earned money trying to make it at this company, it's all a huge scam. Just look at the company website...most of the praised employees' who gave testimonials do not even work there now...they've all quit! Watch out newcomers...
