American road pays well for a retail job. The down side is that the franchise ownership refuses to fire or reduce the hours of any employee who has a mental condition or disability regardless of whether they were notified at the commencement of employment. Over time, this means that the staff has become entirely filled with unqualified staff. Further, the staff have become so bold, (realizing they can't be fired), that a good employee is constantly called upon to pick up everyone else's slack. You will be called on your days off because somebody didn't feel like showing up. You will be asked to work alone while baby-sitting an employee with no common sense, people skills, punctuality, respect for the rules/law or safety regulations, and you'll be asked to do it on $12 dollars an hour. You'll also get less than 30 hours a week because the schedule is filled already with people who can't do their job.
