Dude, what makes you think anyone would come back here, they left to escape.
If you where inprisoned and you won your freedom would you of your own free will come back to this place.
And as for the associates that lost their positions due to drugs, most started drugs while here to get through the seven day work week and others due to losing their families because Showa forced them to work 24/7.
You take a drug test to get a job here along with a background check, and how many people had to be put on depression meds to make it in this place ask some of the burnt out managers and engineers that are taking legal drugs because they cannot work here without them.
Oh by the way our quality still sucks and our productivity sucks also we still have a bunch of people that don't care because of the culture here, the people that did care and took pride in their job are long gone not because Showa wanted them to leave but because they had enough working for a company that run their people into the ground and could care less about them or their families.
I got a few years left till I retire and yes I am still here because I don't care and am waiting to retire!

I think American Showa should have a change of heart and let some of the former employyee's that quit to ome back. Like amnesty for the workers who were burned out and want to give another try at it, what can American Showa lose? Back a few years ago we were tops on Honda's vender list. It's time to go backwards because we went to fast forward and ended up getting druggies bringing down the company. Re-build the work force with stronger bricks because the new are too soft and falling apart. How about an AMNESTY PROGRAM?

Alot of us our wondering how the hell Tara got the section head job on 3rd when she was just punished for starting shit with Sandy!! Awful funny how they took Sandy's title away but gave one to Tara. Oh I guess that's how things work when you screw the boss!! Tara knows nothing about that line - there was more qualified people that signed up but was rejected - hell Cindy knows every job on that line and got beat by a slut that sleeps around. Well Jeff hope you enjoy your Ho cause Sandy was probably the best thing for you. As for Sandy, you hang in there girl you can Do a lot better than that- let the trash burn together but they should at least give you your job back or take away Tara's. Guess I better start screwing the bosses to and I can move up also!!

What can I say they treat you like a slave, I once up on a time was an engineer till I came to Showa not I am what ever they want me to be except being a real engineer and I have no life cause I am forced to spend so much time here.
Japanese take your ideals and treat you like you are a big dummy they really enjoy be-littling American Associates, it is a shame what has become of this place.
More down sizing and with more loss of associated more work put on the shoulders of those of us who are left behind, boo who boo who I need to find a way to escape this place

I was a longtime showa fan. Great pay, decent benifits, and most of the jobs are incredibly easy, even though there are still people that can't do them either because they play dumb or are just lazy. I busted my ass there to try to do my job as best as I could, and when I was done working I'd try to help others as much as I could. When I was canned I was certified on over 20 job processes, and had worked in all three areas of the factory, so I would consider myself a semi-decent value to the company. I was at work everyday (maybe right at clock in time, but hey, I was there and I was ready). Yet on December 22nd 2008, American Showa was nice enough to give us a wonderful Christmas gift in the form of pissing in a cup. I was fired for smoking marijuana, which is really lame and upsetting when you would see the same people everyday stop at the first stop and buy a case a beer at 7:00 in the morning but I couldn't smoke marijuana. Alot of good people lost there jobs that day all because they toked up from time to time. Then they wonder why their company is going down the toliet. Yeah I may have smoked bud, but that was a risk I was willing to take, it's not like I didn't work, and it's not like Showa would have had to give me any money if I would have gotten seriously hurt. It was just a shitty excuse to get rid of payroll. And now they won't even bother to hire back the "Druggies" even though I know as much as I do about the place. The only good thing about it is the year and a half vacation I've gotten out of it, it definatly makes up for the 50+ hour weeks I had for over a year and a half. All and all, showa isn't a bad place. Alot of gossip, and bickering, but if you are quiet and keep to yourself for the most part it's not that bad of a place. Hopefully they pass medical marijuana in ohio in the next few years that way this won't happen again to good people who do their jobs!

To many whores work at showa who think they can have any man they want whether they have family at home or not. She's 25 years old and messing around spending all her time on lunches and breaks with a man who is 42. Saying only friends please bitch your more than friends and your name is Ashley Stanforth. You know who you are. i've known the guy for awhile and he's a better person than your making him out to look like.
