First of all, I was fired from L&L after 10 year, for missing time... They gave me sooooo many chances..I was a great worker..i loved working there..i loved the money the people the respect, My problem was my home life...it was too much

And you know when Claude called and told me, he NEVER disrepected me. Even as I cried all the way home and for months and months after I never had a ill feeling toward that place.

They will call you guys back, hang tight..they are a company to prevail.

Well I have to say more layoffs.. wow surprise!! The place went down hill with Claude, they trusted him and where exactly is he? Out of there with his hands covering his hiney.I worked for L&L over 15yrs ago and the difference is sad to see. We used to bust butt and had fun doing it, but that went in the wind once the man got there and put his family and friends in. I guess the tax break for hiring a token was so great it was worth the fact that he didn't know what he was doing. Or that he drove it in the ground. I must say I loved work made lots of good friends was treated with respect my opinions did count and if someone was nasty and rude it WAS taken care of FAST.
Now before you call me prejudiced please keep in mind I was there when his fat s-i-l worked there and stole the company blind(biggest purse I ever did see!!) But they still kept him..It was a great place and I wish JL could get it back but I do think he stepped back in way too late. When the motto a great place to all who touch it, it was true. My family and friends that are or were still there in the last couple of years, have been sad about it all. I was there the first time that Shaffer called a production worker names. He received a slap on the wrist and it went down from there. When I was first there, there wouldn't have been a second chance. Production was treated like the hub of the company and as Larry Schmidt told a superviser once "you will treat these ladies like you were speaking to MY wife, you will respect them"
This all quit when Claude came around I am sorry that you all never knew this place. I am sorry for all the people that are suffering as a result, and I hope you all get things worked out for yourselves

In my opinion, L&L Products is a very good place to work with good wages and benefits. For the average person career potential is a little iffy. The plants are kept very clean and most of the time too warm in the winter. I have never believed in any place or job being secure. In restructuring and the current layoffs I am sure they have tried to be fair to every person. Those people who were so unhappy with the company should have moved on before their attitude got so bad. I worked for a company I didn"t care for and moved on. As in anything, you get out of something what you put into it. Many people feel they are owed a living without giving of themselves. I'm sorry for the few who feel the company was bad, god bless you and help you in the future to find what you want.

L&L's biggest problem is incompetent management. The owners have been very good to their employee's and I think sincerly care about them. However, they didnt see that the president who was running the ship wasnt qualified to steer them through the upcoming difficult times. L&L should have diversified by now- but has been too fearful of taking risks like the founders took. They let go all the good people go who were doing execellent work to diversify the company. We need leaders with vision, passion, integrity, and who listen to the people and treat them with respect.

The new management team I think is better than the old but it still is not at the level we need to get through this mess.

I want to know why some people worked at L&L as long as they did if they were so miserable. Has anyone found a job yet comparable to our pay, health benefits, profit sharing, 401k, education foundation, dinners, parties, golf outings, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate because I sure can't. I'm going back to school just in hopes to get as close to our hourly wage that we had, let alone all the extras because I know that will never happen again. I really enjoyed my time there and made many friends. It is so sad that some of you think of this great company the way you do. It was not the company's fault that we got laid off. And I give the owners a lot of credit for still hanging in there and not selling because they definitely don't need the money but this is their family. I was not there back in the day when things were good but they sure weren't bad in the time that I was there. As far as being treated fairly from a female's perspective I was not treated any differently then the guys. And the cleanliness of the place was great considering all the black powders, pellets and other chemicals that went into making the materials. I hope that you eventually find what makes you happy in life because working there obviously wasn't it. I will go back in a heartbeat if we ever get the chance.

I am so shocked that there is such negativity about L & L. What is wrong with you people? The pay was great, the work environment clean. I got laid off but you know what, L & L hung in there as long as they could, by keeping their employees as long as they could. Laying people off for a month at a time. They did this for 2+ years. The economy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on people I can't believe you were or are so miserable there. L & L has done lots of wonderful things for a lot of people. Scholarship for our children and ourselves. Paid schooling for business related schooling. Dinners for the recently married, new babies, retires. Company picnics, L & L golf outings, The CHRISTMAS PARTIES!!!! If you are saying or have said bad things I hope you can't sleep at night. Remember what goes around comes around!

Is like on the Titanic. They don't know yet that it is sinking but the rats are still trying to get a good position on top.

L&L Products is the worst company that I have ever worked for. It is true that the pay was exceptional (employee profit sharing on 40%+ profit margins) but the lack of respect for employees made it a terrible environment to work in. The President was not engaged in the business and had no idea what was going on. His lack of leadership and inability to make difficult decisions has put L&L in a horrible position to weather this downturn in the automotive market. The management team was very unprofessional and spent more time backstabbing each other than making positive change at the company for the benefit of it's shareholders and employees. L&L has been caught lying to it's customers and repeatedly lies to it's employees. I would not recommend working at L&L Products or doing business with them, especially if integrity is a value that is important to you.

The pay is very well along with profit sharing...gave a lot to my family before being layoff. Great place to work. Benefits are great! Growth is what you make of it. Welcome back Steve L.! Miss that wonderful place.
