okay let me start off by saying... everyday before i went to work i would breakdown because of how much i fucking hated it there. they treat you like shit, talk behind your back, and treat you like a slave. i was there for almost 2 years as my first job and let me tell you im SO glad im out of there !! all the shifts are horrible, holidays you dont get out till one or two in the morning, black friday HAHA good luck with that one ! they write you up for almost everything, and if you miss one day, ONE DAY, you have to bring in a doctors excuse or you get a write up ! like wow really ? pathetic. i liked a select few managers there and most of the employees but the few that i didnt like were so rude !!! all they did was talk down on you and harass you for everything you did. my manager called me out infront of the whole line and literally said "i think your bullshitting with me", just because i didnt stay for two more fucking hours when i was already working for seven. they all think you lie about everything, like sorry my life isnt dedicated to the store. i had a life outside of that hell hole unlike them. i got a write up for saying i didnt like doing something, even though i did my best at it i got a write up for it. and then they freak out at you when you cant cover someones shift cause you actually have other things you have to do that day . they are the most immature managers ive ever worked with in my life . the pay is alright but it wasnt even worth it anymore. all the managers do is walk around and talk, oh and t hey also look at clothes that they want, THATS IT ! they make the associates do everything and i think they should be treated with alot more respect, cause managers dont do shit there. and the return policy is a joke, when your on register you get angry customers and you cant even return something for them cause they dont have tags or a receipt, its rediculous. and then you get screamed at for it. my job now is SO much better then that hell hole and ill never, EVER go back. im pretty sure im reporting them for harassment to corporate so, DONT EVER WORK AT FOREVER 21 . save yourself while you can !

I cannot tell you how much i cant stand this job.. been with the company going on two years now, and the only reason im holding on to this job is only because its hard to find another job... have yet to get a pay raise, the discount sucks, the hours are pitiful, favoritism is normal to these people, its a horrible job... No consistency at all, and nothing is done by the book... the managers talk to you like youre a 5th grader,, and you get written up for just about ANYTHING! The people over 21 need to re evaluate this company, cuz it has alot of growing to do... so if you consider this as a potential, reconsider this as one of your options... this is the job from hell...

I have only worked at Forever 21 for 4 weeks and i thank God that i have already found a better job. The managers are catty and act like they are in high school.
They put me in charge of accessories, which i dreaded at first because i didnt apply so i could help someone find a damn necklace. It was boring and there really is no work to be done in accessories. you get in trouble for "not customer servicing", but i customer service all the time. its not my fault people are competent enough to pick out their own jewelry. This was my last week at forever 21. my hire date was october 7, and my last day was going to be november 6. I made yesterday, november 4th my last day because my manager sent me home for "yawning too much". those were her exact words. .
I will not deal with this company anymore.
My manager basically ASKED me for my 2 weeks notice last week because some girl overheard me having a personal conversation outside of work and told my manager that i was quitting.
my manager didnt even bother to ask if it was true, she just asked for my 2 weeks notice.
ALSO, any time an employee is in ANY store, you have to be escorted out and have your purse checked by a manager, because they swear you'd take the time to steal from them. Although, with the hours and pay they give you, you would have to steal in order to gain anything good from them.
my manager has been nothing but a bitch to me since that girl told her i was quitting. they are all unfair and pick their favorites.
Also, come to find out, they dont pay you for your state mandated 10 min breaks. i discovered this by going over my hours.
they dont abide by california state labor laws. the labor law states that if you work a 5 hour shift or longer, you must get a 30 min meal break BEFORE you hit your 5 hour mark. One of my co-workers didnt get her lunch until she had already been working 6 hours. she would go on her lunch, come back, and only work another 30 min before she was off work.

Honestly, i thought i had worked for worse companies before...but i've been proven wrong thru the grace of God.
Forever 21 is a HORRIBLE place to work, even if its for your first job...DON'T DO IT! you can find something much better. trust me.

based on how many complaints there are on this website alone (im sure there are many more), i can tell Forever 21 has a high turnover rate.

so to my manager who sent me home because i have a small lung capacity and i "yawned too much", shove some accessories up your ass!

good luck to anyone else that works there.

they pay you what the law abides. it's sooo overwhelming. they're not considerate with the school schedule of their employees. and they have favoritism. definitely. it's a very very very bad place to be working at.

Most horrible place to work, the managers are all snobby and they talk behind your back. One of the managers made more than six people quit in one week because she kept writng people up for no apparent reason. The managers are all fake they treat you like dogs, the only time they are nice is when the DM or some other person from corporate office comes. They expect you to do so much work when the managers don't do crap at all, they're sitting in the back looking at the cameras and laughing at you the whole time. If you want to work here, then you have to be fake and be friends with the managers because that's the only way you'll last.

FOREVER 21 is pure slavery!!! They have too many clothes and not enough room. They expect you to make the place look neat, watch out for thieves and help customers all at the same time. Which at first does not sound bad until you see the amount of go backs and how many tees, jeans, sweaters you have to fold. Just to turn around and see you have to do it again. The worse management. They offered me $8.00 which is less than minimum wage. I brought it to the manager's attention and she was like "Oh really?" Get it together!!! They talk about you and laugh while you have to slave the field. Run away while you are free!!!

Forever 21 is the most awful job I have ever encountered (and my job history isn't exactly fabulous). The managers are all frustrated, mean, and abusive, and unless you like being asked to do things you will never be paid for, they will treat you like dogs. They work you to the bone and God forbid you get a closing shift... You will spend hours after the mall closes picking up clothing people have thrown around, doing go backs, and folding tables of clothes that will NEVER BE NEAT! It's impossible to keep the stores tidy because of the large amount of merchandise and general size of the venue. Yet the managers somehow think it's still possible and won't hesitate to exhaust you with meaningless labor while they stand behind the register counting money and laughing maniacally amongst themselves. I thought slavery ended in the 1800s!! You're getting paid a few cents over minimum wage to get back pain, fatigue, and depression. There's a reason no one lasts more than 3 months (unless theyre clinically insane!) Be very careful applying for this job, because you'll most likely get it, they need a steady supply of drones. But it is awful and traumatizing. I quit after 2 months because towards the end all they did was give me closing shifts on Friday and Saturday nights which was a nightmare. The only plus side is that you'll meet a lot of cool people working there who are in the same situation and the music is incredible. Other than that, run far far far away QUICKLY.

very hard to get fired. yes it is crappy retail job and just as crappy as you can imagine and boss manager will take advantage of you if you let them so don't let them. it is hard because wehn you up and leave on a shift you know you are screwing your coworkers but tell them to leave too. all retail jobs are like this and if you play the mediocre game because the boss isn't giving you what you need you can be fine.
