I work security at the Tampa location. To say the least, it is a JOKE! They only pay their security officers a chump change $8.50 per hour yet we are required to run our asses off. Us and housekeeping are the LOWEST paid departments. The cigar girls get 10 bucks an hour PLUS TIPS and all they think we're worth is $8.50

We handling thousands of dollars at any given moment, escort other employees that are carrying tons of money, bust up fights, cater to the ENDLESS questions from the often moronic guests and we are only worth $8.50?? It is very sad that the indian's are SO GREEDY. If the economic times were not so bad, I would love to tell them to cram their low paying, stinking job up their asses!!

While SHR Tampa is in sunny florida and the pay is above average, the culture is like a kindergarden classroom where everyone gets punished for one person's mistake. There is no room for growth unless you suck up to the right people and our yearly bonuses have gotten smaller even through profits are through the roof. It feels like a prison that just keeps getting worse as they lure you in with 'love all, serve all' and then take away your freedoms one rule at a time. It's so bad that coworkers joke that there's no point to learn the new rules since they'll be different next week. What a joke.
