I've worked at NECC for over 6 years and feel it provides great opportunities for people interested in working in the field of special education, especially autism. The staff who work at NECC are dedicated and hard working and leaders in the field. NECC offers a generous benefits package (vacation time, tuition reimbursement, child care, etc.) and there are numerous opportunities for professional growth. Though the nature of the work most certainly can be challenging, the staff and students at NECC make the work equally rewarding.

The company starts new employees with a good amount of vacation and sick time. The location is close to major highways and not too far from most suburbs in the Lowell/Boston area. My coworkers are competent and professional in their fields and are always willing to help you solve a problem. Management at all levels values your work and does a good job at treating you with respect. This company is fast growing and is always looking to the future so there is plenty of opporunity for you to learn new skills and advance your posistion . Overall, this is a good place to work as the company expects and rewards an honest days work and does not expect you to overwork yourself.

I've worked at the school for over 2 years and have enjoyed all that it has offered me. The school has given me the potential to grow and learn while provided valuable services to children. I look forward to continuing my career at The New England Center for Children.

Risk of injury is extremely high and the steps taken to minimize this are not enough. Working with autistic kids is very rewarding but at times you wonder what on earth you were thinking to be working in such an environment. Especially when the staff is not given enough credit for what they do by the company.
