Ok so since working this job, I've discovered how many morons inhabit the general public. I am regularly subjected to abuse from people calling in (I work in a call center), who have no idea about car insurance. I get constant criticism on my call handling (i.e 'you could have used the customer's surname a couple more times',WTF) and am expected to constantly talk to idiots on the phone for seven hours a day. Our office is by an addicts drop in center and bang in the middle of prostitute land. Arghhhhhhhh I hate it. My colleagues however are on the whole good people. The work enviroment is based around artificial fun (pass the f***ing parcel) and I find myself laughing at things I'd usually sneer at (fake laughter obviously). I feel though that I should be grateful to have this job, as some people would do anything to be in my position (those who can't get jobs etc)
