Part of my job was accounting. They were actually using a ledger book. I streamlined it using a database and the procedure that took most of one full time position became a process that took about 10 hours a month. My reward was having a coworker talk a secretary from upstairs pose as management and come down & convince me to leave. My position was taken over by a friend of the co-worker.
