I left this company due to the increased Underwriting duties, increased hours, severe decrease in pay and no hope of the situation getting better. I came to AAA because great service is important to me and I like to feel good about what I am spending 60 hours a week doing. I put in my time, hit my numbers and gave customers superior service. In fact alot of the customers would only deal with me. Currently we have 20 agents. 9 of them are seasoned agents and all but a few are on a warning of some kind. This is how we are "managed". The new hires are not eligible for these warnings yet. The promise of 60k plus extra incentives was alluring however the same few get these perks and this is mostly due to the manager continuing to give them all the leads from the agents who have left the company and turning a blind eye to their shady business-guess it doesnt matter as long as the auto bonus keeps coming in? Unfortunately management also favors these same agents when it comes to these warnings as well-maybe I shouldve babysat her kid, gone with her to the gym and hang out for for drinks regularly to gain a supervisor position like the current one we have or to be one of her favorites. The new agents will continue to not get the help they need. They will write bad business and be kept if they hit their goals and the others will fall off like the agents who have been there for a while and are tired of her crap. I can name 15 out of 20 unhappy and seeking new employment. At this location it is as simple as getting someone in charge who is not an emotional mess and runs the department like a High School- But how can they when her boss is half way across the country and actually believes her when she tells him shes doing her job. -Look at the numbers, turn over, profitability ect and do something about it or they will all be out of a job! How is it that an agent can lose their job for not hitting goal but theres no issue with the IBM being in charge of everyone and she keeps her job? AAA would rather fire their employees which they have spent thousands of dollars on to train) and not hold the manager accountable thats been there for 2 years with decreased performance department wide the entire time? Thats a shame and a terrible way to run a business. Im glad I left and would not wish the job on my worst enemy. I guess that why they make new hires sign a contract to pay them back 2 grand if they leave the company and have a 1k referral bonus-pretty pathetic.

The biggest problem in this job (P&C) is the manager. The manager spends most of her time behind a closed door in her office. When she is on the floor she is yelling about the lack of sales. It is obvious there are favorite employees on the floor. The manager turns a blind eye to the favorites when they are late, leave early and or take an extended lunch while if one of the others who isn't in the elite group is written up. The back-stabbing by the other employees is intolerable. These same favorites are the first to complain if one of the non-elite are not on time or leave early. The team is REQUIRED to work overtime twice a week for "call nights." There is a third long day, the meetings Tuesday mornings. This is a waste of time. There is nothing brought out in these meetings than can't be sent through an email. The rates for most people are too high. We can't be expected to sell more if we aren't compatible with other companies.
