Worked for them for about 3 years, only one or two employees can be full time, rest part time, hours from 10 to 28hrs per week, if busy, you'll get more, but always fluctuating, min pay to start and stay that way, if you get commission, you'll be writing your paycheck, but they're crumbs. Shelves falling apart, and yes you have to jump on the customer before someone does or else you don't look good. dept managers will work a little, but omg the store manager or director does nothing, never had he talked to employees, why is he there, getting paid lots of money, wish i can grow up like him. anyway, work if you need a job, but don't plant your roots there, not worth it, have seen many people come and go.

The most backwords company I have ever worked for. They will find the worst way of doing everything.

The pay sucks. I got a 16 cent raise when i worked there a year! The managers give their favorites all the hours or the new people. If you dont get credit apps kiss your job goodbye. NEVER WORK HERE...PLZ

I am a former employee of Sears,Roebuck and Company. My vent is the Sears Optical service in the Aurora Store. My five year old grandson was checked because it is the law to have an eye exam before entering kindergarten.

The eye doctor told my daughter that her son was extremely far-sided and needed to wear eye glasses all the time. She pushed for my daughter to order glasses.

When my daughter came home she decided to cancel the eye glass order and made an appointment with an opthomologist who told my daughter her son's vision was perfect.

When my daughter called the Sears eye doctor, the doctor was very rude to her and hung up.

Sears, of course, could care less. They say the eye doctors are independent of the store. Yet, they carry the Sears brand. Poor business practice.
