Pay and Respect: There are several areas of opportunity here - let's focus.

Benefits: Ditto

Job Security & Work/Life Balance: One never knows from day to day.

Career Potential/Growth: Inconsistent.

Location: Excellent

Co-worker Competence: Several areas of opportunity exist here.

Work Environment: They just don't get it - they think pot lucks, MVP & EOM (because the staff are morons) are all good answers to the morale problems, negativity, etc. - again - good effort, but there are several areas of opportunity here!!

Ok, so the CRO decided to outsource several jobs. I understand it was a business decision to lower costs while trying to maintain results. Well, I am sure that the numbers speak for themselves that the decision to outsource did not maintain results and in fact if the CRO latest recoveries are any indication the CRO is in serious trouble. With that being said why not outsource all of the CRO operations? When you think about it, it makes perfect since. The CRO under this current incompetent management team is driving the CRO right into the ground anyways. So, if the Hartford holds true to its original decision to outsource jobs that are under performing we will not make the year. The only saving grace right now that we have is that we are considered customer facing which is funny considering we rarely talk to customers and that corporate for some reason is scared of the CRO current management team. SK must have slept with someone there for that kind of protection. I mean it would not be out of character for her considering her multiple promotions and currently sleeping with the AVP (CF). If management keeps doing absolutely nothing and/or implementing decisions that make no since and are actually counter productive then life in the CRO is over as we know it and we will all be looking for jobs here, soon. Very soon!

Anyone hiring?

So, I was thinking about coming on here and posting a negative response about the Hartford CRO operations but then I started to think about it. I know some of you are probably thinking that I realized that it is good to just have a job but that was not what I was thinking. I was thinking what a life it is to be in management with the CRO from a team leader all the way up to the AVP. I mean think about it, you don’t have to do anything. You get paid very well. When you feel the need to do something to justify your job for the year you can make stupid decisions like breaking up the teams that handled claims for a particular area and say that everyone can handle claims from anywhere. I mean, it is not like all 50 states have their own laws or anything that people need to know about or anything. You can come in when you want, leave when you want, take your hour and a half lunch and leave on time. Those are not even close to the benefits that I am speaking about. The ultimate benefit is that you can do what you want when you want to the employees and there is nothing that corporate will do about it. For instance, if an employee deserves a 2 or 3 rating you can give them a 4 which means no raise or bonus and then they complain just let the manager tell them to deal with it. Also, if an employee complains or tries to make suggestions to make things better you can tell them that if they do not like it here in the CRO that they can go and find another job. No need to worry about HR, she is the one that started telling employees that in the first place to their face. Another benefit is if an employee is not living in the CRO for at least 12 hours a day you can threaten them with their job. Activities like this go on every single day CRO from all levels in management from the AVP to the team leaders which reminds me of the teamster’s days back in the late 60’s. About the only thing missing from the teamsters’ days which is the origin of the racketeering laws in this country to the current operations in the CRO is putting out hits on people. Yeah, life is good in management in the CRO. Now all I need is for SK to stop sleeping with the AVP and start sleeping with someone that will give her another undeserved promotion so I can get a management job.

Yes, SK and CF, we know that you love working for the Hartford. Because they are the only company that will let both of you run around like wild aminals and get away with it. Well, that and the Federal Government but I hear it is hard to get a job with the government.

Congratulations to the CRO and the AVP on recently finding out that we made goal. Not the stretch target goal but nether the less we made goal. That is something to be proud of, right? Here is something to think about. We as subrogation adjustors if we do not maintain our track set up at the beginning of the year to do our part to make goal we get written up. Threatened with our jobs, forced to work late by the AVP and in some cases actually lose our jobs. But if the AVP is not able to actually do his job which would allow us to do our job then he just complains to corporate and they change the goal to allow him to obtain goal. It begs the question; who does he know and what unethical decisions/favors are being done to accomplish this?

Another interesting fact is that the current AVP comes from Progressive. If you look on this same website you can see the time period that he was there. There are few posts about Progressive in Miami before him. While he was there not only does the activity go up expediently but he is named in several of the posts for being a very poor manager. For some reason he leaves Progressive and comes to the Hartford and the negative posts about Progressive stops. Now I know what the AVP is thinking, all the negative activity from Progressive was not because of him it was because of negative employees. Now to be fair you need to look at the current Hartford posts. There are no negative posts on this site about the Hartford before the current AVP. But as of late there are several posts which supports that not only does he not do his job that he is paid very well for and flaunts that he is with his new Porsche that he drives around. But he is actually brought down production and employee satisfaction with the company. Great hire Hartford!

The final item to point out is that also before the current AVP arrived at the Hartford, we as a company was not in the top 10 in terms of negative responses on jobvent.com. Now, we as a company are eight in the nation. That is something to be proud of. The current AVP should get a plague or something for that. I think that I speak from all of us when I say thank you current AVP for helping bring a negative light to the Hartford and really driving home the point of how incompetent you are everyday!

As a share holder, I demand corporate to fire the current AVP and his office manager girl friend and hire someone that will do their job which as a result will allow us to bring in more money which will help the company lower rates and attract new business which will ultimately raise the stock price. But then again corporate has never done anything that has actually helped the company grow.

Now lets be fair...avp (cf) and claims mgr (sk) can not be held 100% responsible for the quick downfall of cro. Remember ex-claims mgr (sw) and team leads (pk), (dt) and (jb) all have played their part. Lets not forget current team lead (el) and her contributions. All of management along with human resource rep was apart of the team that decided to outsource arb team. It was management that trained the india team and its the same team that never filed an arb in their lifetime.

Whether or not the sups are sleeping with each other is irrelevant. The fact remains that neither of those two have any expericence within the claims industry. Vice president's career prior to getting his current position consisted of 7 yrs auto appraising. He never adjusted a claim, made a liability call, negotiated injury settlements or even negotiated liability with another carrier in his lifetime. In other words, he is simply an auto appraisor, 1 of millions in this country. He doesnt have the experience or license to do any real claims work. He uses his title along with threats of losing your job like Hitler to hide his inability to do his job so the company can prosper. The assistant mgr, is our own version of sarah palin, but without the book tour. Please wipe that dumb ass smile off your face and stick a sausage in it, since that is what you do best. Also stop sending those stupiod trivias and do some real work!
