Leaving Ican on my own and taking a pay cut to end the madness was the best thing I ever did for myself. This company tramatized, affected my health and I found myself hating to do something that once I found enjoyable.

I don't recommend anyone take a position with Ican. You will be better off taking a pay cut and going to a mom and pop company. Exactly the kind of soulless corporation who treats people like numbers you think it is.

I've been here for years and the work environment has only gotten worse over time. No pay raises, no bonuses, no promotions. Hard work is not rewarded. You're expected to give your all to Ican and get nothing in return. I'm hoping to find another job before I become of the next victims of a resource action. With jobs at my location quickly being transitioned out of the company, it won't be long before this location is shut down.

My advise is to avoid working at Ican.

To understand the company, you should put yourself in the mindset of the companies chief leaders. They are awesome entrepreneurs in which their main focus is to help people save money on health insurance during our current health insurance crisis. They're just now getting into the telehealth industry too, and to do that in a fashion that will revolutionize the industry is a huge, demanding task. The work is demanding but rewarding. Some will like it- particularly those who embrace an "all in it together" philosophy. This isn't a place to be a doormat, but if you are looking to work with or at this organization, you'll see an organization who has lifted the bar relative to other companies in the industry.

This company fell very short of my expectations. I am very dissapointed with the way it treats its employees. There was no chance of advancement and no solid leads to sell. The products being offered are questionable as well.

This company has bad management and vision. Everyone that has ever worked there has had a horrible experience. I would recommend not even calling or considering them as an employer or partner. They do not repsect your opinion. They will fire you if you don't agree with their ideas and make your life miserable while you're there.

Don't believe these recent positive posts. This company is at its worst right now. People are being let go, their money is running out. Although the positive posts look and are worded differently, there are entered here by one person in charge of their PR and its sad. No one has come to this site for months until just recently. What are the chances that people would be here praising this thing as it is crumbling?

The recent management changes are a positive move, but they have a very long way to go to make up for past sins. So be careful.

This company has had many ups and downs... I've worked at alot of places and this one is not the best but not the worse either... The recent changes in upper management will only make it a better place to work. I look forward to seeing it rise from the ashes and succeed under new conditions.

It never ceases to amaze us that, even now, this company has planted individuals and those with contrived loyalties that occasionally come to Jobvent in an attempt to salvage some sort of reputation for this terrible company. To respond to the latest of these ridiculous attempts:

...the environment is positive... That is because those there cannot speak of their concerns or disapproval or they are set aside and eventually fired. FACT - This has happened to over 20 lead and management personnel that can be named but will not be. Sorry, but they can't all be wrong.

...where management was so understanding, encouraging and affirming before... This is a blatant lie. They are controlling, paranoid, and incompetent and only come across as "understanding" to mask their plans to manipulate entire departments and individuals and keep them under a warped and delusional sense of control.

...Of course, no company is perfect for everyone... More accurately, this company is perfect for no one. We challenge everyone reading this NOT to take our word for this. Instead, ask ANY former employee, marketing partner, supplier, manager and some family members of management there to tell their own story - and they will have one. This company works in association benefits and limited benefit health plans and everybody knows everybody in this business. Ask anyone.

...the leaders in this company have a great vision for the future... No. They chase the next pot of gold. They had a good thing and good people a few years ago and it's because of them that this company even exists. Since then, they have fired these people or the people have left on their own and the management has driven the company into the ground, wasted millions of dollars and disrupted or ruined many lives.

...I can't wait to see what the coming years will bring... Consensus is they will sell off or milk the membership revenue until its gone. If they don't let go of several executives - one in particular - they cannot escape their fate and will continue to unravel and leave a path of failure where ever they go. Their name is mud in the market they now "serve" and will have to branch out into new areas. Unfortunately, because of the fact that they have no leadership or management people, they will never, ever succeed.

So if the previous poster is sincere, then unfortunately they may not yet have been exposed to these things and, as a result, are not only in the lions den, they have no clue of the dangers that surround them. But if, as we suspect, this poster is a plant then know that whenever they attempt to come back here to try and paint a pretty picture about this dangerous company - we will be here to respond accordingly.

For those considering employment here or working with this company in any way and you are reading this, go back through the posts here from the start and read for yourself. Your personal and financial well-being may just depend on it.

I'm not sure which is more reprehensible, the way they treat their members, or the way they treat their employees.

I wonder if they'll be able to stay in business long enough for the department of insurance to shut them down.

I've been with iCan Benefit for several years now, and can honestly say it's one of the best places I've ever worked. The people are friendly, the environment is positive, and the work is rewarding. I've never had a job where management was so understanding, encouraging and affirming before. Of course, no company is perfect for everyone. But I'm very happy here, and intend to stay long term. The leaders in this company have a great vision for the future, and I can't wait to see what the coming years will bring in terms of growth, profit, and better solutions for customers.

Where do you begin...
The company promotes "Helping " it's clients or "members", yet if there is a policy change brought to light by someone in a position of power such as an audit company, members are canceled for whatever reason prevalent, never notified and end up at a medical facility thinking they have coverage when actually they are exposed. When the account notations for the member are viewed everything "appears" in order; the customer was contacted and refused to be recorded for validation. However, these customers were never contacted at ALL. Even more critical, the primary member may have been canceled for turning 65 (without notification) but his spouse, who may be suffering from a medical condition has their coverage removed as well...
This is the tip of the iceberg... double charging members because the billing is done manually, charging incorrect amounts because systems are inadequate and the list goes on.
Finally, like the previous comment states, if someone outside the owner and their family discovers an issue needing correction they are quickly removed from the company.
In a day when medical coverage gets so much attention regarding inadequacies, false claims and illegal activities it really surprises me this company can operate in so many states. Any insurer that has truly performed Due Diligence would NEVER permit Ican to represent them in the public domain- it WILL become a liability.
Now I believe the previous note describes the working conditions but neglects to present the "Slopping of the Hogs" each day. What a disgrace- serving meals in an area that is unsanitary and even has a dog coming through the line with its owner (one of the family members).
I could labor on and on to the most minuscule detail but what would be the point?
Bottom line- if you are a professional in the insurance or IT industry, STAY AWAY for your own sanity.
