Ive seen a few comments on the New York business, and can confirm the exact same conditions are in place in London. During my breif spell there I witnessed backstabbing to a degree that I thought would be impossible in a professional workplace, a manager who abused staff with threatening to sack people on almost a daily basis if sales werent made, chairs being removed so we had to stand and pitch all day, and a whole host of other despicable practices.

I left within 2 months and didnt return. No one should have to work that hard and suffer such a tortured existence at work. I think the sales managers there have background experience in Guantanamo Bay given the management techniques used. The turnover of staff is extremely high, and only the favoured few drones are kept on for longer than a few months.

I am not prone to ranting or exaggeration - just wanted people to be aware that the company is exactly as bad as it sounds from other posts.

Sure - take the job if you need a few months income to stop being kicked onto the street, but if you have a choice - avoid it like the pague.

People have to stop being so negative and quit bashing this job so much. There is ups and downs to every job. we really have fun here and we all work our a**es off at tthe same time. everyone helps each other when help is asked for. And when you are on events that don't sell, my manager gets you on better events. everyone has a vested interest in everyones success. Im not gonna sit there and say the grass is always green there is alot of success as well as stress with this job. everyone I have worked with have been extremely friendly better than any job that I have ever have.

I had read a lot of posts on the Internet and on this site about IQPC in NYC and it was very scary to see what has been written about them. However, since joining IQPC I can honestly say that the experiences, age discrimination and harassment that actually goes on in this place is........TRUE! I have never experienced or seen such an unbelievable place to work in all my life. The waiting area by the front desk is always filled with new unsuspecting candidates. Every day, workers are either smart enough to leave, or are thrown out the back door. This happens even after only a few weeks on the job. IQPC has little concern for their employees probably because they are only going to be there temporarily.

Management is by fear and threats. If the sales managers don't do what they're told, they're thrown out the door without thinking twice. The person who runs this scam doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

If you're even thinking about working for this company, head the warnings! What you read about why people dislike about this company is true. If you're over 40, you're one of only a very few. They don't like experienced people.

Is this company ball team crud the best you IQPC slave drivers can come up with now?

Considering the myriad, horrendously soul-crushing negatives that are intrinsic to the IQPC [toixic] workplace, that's pretty pathetic.

IQPC is nothing but a slimy boiler room, pure and simple. It's a great place to work, if you like being treated like a naughty five year old [by an abusive parent who would end up in handcuffs].

If you can't be trusted to learn products and services, and prefer working from a script and having your every move monitored by a paranoid freak = manager, then IQPC is the place for you. If you enjoy strong-arming customers = victims, instead of offering genuine value for money, you'll love it at IQPC. If you like being undermined by coworkers and managers who are rabid with fear [of losing their masochistic jobs], then you should join IQPC to be treated like crap.

IQPC is the perfect place to work for those who have no integrity, self-respect, or genuine professionalism. It's also a greatplace to gett ripped off = robbed and scammed [by rob-you-blind-scammin & friends] out of your hard earned commissions. IQPC also offers wonderful opportunities to witness/get dragged into hysterical drama-filled meltdowns.

You should also join IQPC to enjoy the smell and feel of being crammed ass-to-elbow into a communal workstation provided with luxurious demi-partitions that are a generous 2' high. Similarly, IQPC is perfect for those who do not require office supplies, lunch hours, useable benefits or straight paychecks.

If you buy into the IQPC B*S* party line, you can also enjoy the illusion that everyone worth a dime will become a manager, and look forward to the day when there are all-chiefs-and-no-indians. If you do not make manager, you can take comfort in the IQPC-defined fact that you are nothing more than an abortion your parents botched--actually you get the comfort of that assessment no matter what you do in the magical mystery world that is IQPC: a special circle of hell where everyone makes everyone else miserable to create a new paradigm of wage slavery for people who know they're better than you are [because they've been handed a company to ruin by their immediate ancestors].

Go ahead and make IQPC's day: take the job.

IQPC - wow; where to start?
Having had the misfortune to encounter the consistent ineptitude at every level of this organization I would simply say to any potential staffer;

If you have a single shred of self-respect, a sense of self-worth or have anything to more to offer than blind, mindless and ignorant obedience to an ill-conceived and poorly executed doctrine - do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Pay - There are much better paid roles in "conferencing".
Respect - Respect is both a word and concept that the management of IQPC work to destroy; this comes from the very top, permeating the whole company and is so entrenched that even good managers end up as tools to abuse their staff.
Benefits - Benefits cost money and money spent on staff welfare is not money going into the company coffers; don't hold your breath.
Job security - It seems that IPQC management take great pleasure is removing staff, lie about support and are probably so worried about their roles that they work to keep everyone looking over their shoulders.
Work/Life balance - If the brainwashing sticks then there is no such thing as balance; if the brainwashing doesn't stick you won't be around long enough to worry about finding the elusive concept.
Career Potential/Growth - Go somewhere else if you want to retain your humanity and personality and be successful.
Location - IQPC is everywhere you'd expect; nothing special there. Just like rats or cockroaches.
Co-worker competence - There are some great staff at IQPC, unfortunately the company corrupts even the best; you either stay and become a drone or escape.
Work environment - Innovation is frowned upon, respect is a dirty word and honor is an alien concept at IPQC.

To all readers of this review; please, please, please help yourselves and avoid this abhorrent company at all costs - to work there is to hate yourself, to be despised by your industry and hated by your customers - there are good opportunities in the business to business events industry; just be a little more discerning in your selection.

Worrying from a current employee eh?

Great things about NOT working for IQPC:

1) Being treated like a human being, instead of a worthless cog in a filthy machine.

2) Treating clients with respect, instead of like victims to be robbed, scammed and fleeced

3) Not being micromanaged, and being empowered and trusted to run your own desk

4) Having a desk, instead of being crammed into a picnic table with half-partitions

5) Selling based on facts, features and benefits--instead of BS high-pressure spin

6) Using your own sales skills, instead of a script

7) Not having to look over your shoulder to prevent co-workers undermining and stealing your sales

8) Being paid your commissions, instead of having them robbed and scammed out from under you

9) Better pay and benefits

10) Non-toxic work atmosphere, free from intimidation, meltdowns and hysterics

Turns out that there are a few people from a competitor company going on to this website and writing negative reviews in an attempt to recruit for themselves. Not good strategy...just thought everyone should know...Also, there is pretty much 1 disgruntled ex-employee with several accounts looking to constantly post new negative remarks....more food for thought...please contact me if you'd like to discuss

Thanks.

The two worst things about IQPC is the lack of respect and sweatshop environment. If you're 22 years old and don't know any better, it's a decent place to kill a few months until a real job comes along.
