Company as a whole is not bad. It is the managers. Higher ups need to realize that the problems are with the lower managers reporting to them. How about cleaning up that mess. Take that super plogger bitch out with the trash too. Im waiting patiently for the ball to drop with my lawyer, EVIDIENCE, and the truth. Can you say MEDIA FRENZY?

This year I exceeded on my PE but my raise was less than last year when I was a meets expectations. Can you say Shell Game?

Did you see the contest with making a FLO video. The 10 best will win some sort of prize or it will air on TV or something. Making a porn movie with a FLO look alike would bring in millions. I would pay good money to see that one.

The real Flo is pairing up with Oprah I guess to spy on Progressive drivers. It's on the internet and they have 50,000 people signed up already.

Reader, as you are obviously not a member of management, you do not undertand the rigorous vetting process that is utlized to select the "cream of the crop" for leadership. Therefore, you are unable to understand the responsibilities and decisions of management. You clearly lack even a basic understanding of business fundamentals. Corporations exist solely to benefit management and shareholders. Therefore, you may find yourself not only failing to appreciate the sound decisions of your leadership, but also bereft of the rewards solely reserved for managers.

Just-a-Slave, it probably would not come as a surprise if you learned that raises are determined well in advance of your "numbers" for the year being available. The "numbers" are not even referenced in the budgeting or review process. There were over 300 metrics for my job--any one of those could be used to justify a raise or lack thereof. The raises are based on perceived loyalty (including the surveys), and not much more. Your manager's goals for your numbers are likely much lower than what is required of you--you could be a "Do Not Meet" in a category and your manager could get an "Exceeds" for the numbers you produced. It is a Shell Game. I once threw my review back at my manager (literally) after getting a 1% raise because I knew that one of my coworkers who always dodged her work got 4%. After that I went into the customer service business and gave customers exactly what they wanted... I knew my days were numbered but the charade was over. And people, please stop getting yourselves worked up about Progger. He's clearly yanking your chain. It's freaking hilarious. I wish I had thought of it.

Ohhh ... what a big word Superprogger uses "bereft". Too bad Superprogger can't proofread ... "undertand?" Is that what people are who leave the tanning bed too soon? undertand? Get bent superprogger.
SuperProgger — Jan. 24, 2010
Squishy, busy executives do not have time for proof-reading. That is why we have support personnel (which I assume you are).

Another typo for Super Progger. He/she said "cream of the crop" instead of "cream of the CRAP".
