I have worked at Taco Bell over 2 years now. I started out at minimum wage and now make $6.75. We get 5 cent raises every 6 months- nevermind, we have to wait a year now for raises.. The RGM actually had to talk his boss into giving me a 20 cent raise because I actually work my ass off.
Other employees are usually not disrespectful. The managers are never disrespectful outright, but they will talk about you to other managers and you will hear about it. The customers are very disrespectful. Most over very rude for no apparent reason. I guess they like to take their anger out on Taco Bell employees for some reason.
Does Taco Bell have any benefits? I mean I make a little money. That is it.
I don't think there are many jobs that are secure with how the economy is now. Most new people that are hired do not last long though. They are usually fired or quit pretty quickly. Our most experienced closer has only been there a year...not a good situation.
My manager usually gives me the days off that I need off. I don't ask off very often, so that okay.
There is no growth at Taco Bell. I have been in the same spot for over 2 years!
I work in the ghetto. There are no other businesses on the block. Because of that, we get busy, but not busy enough to where we have enough employees to run the store like it should be run. Customers often wait 10 minutes at the drive thru window on food. Speed requirements are not met.
Maybe a few employees are at the level where they should be to have a functional store. The RGM is the worst. He sits in his office 99% of the day. The other 1% he comes out and yells at everyone, tells us to make speed when we need help, then goes back into the office. He is more than two-faced and never does what he says.
The co-worker competence pretty much explains the environment. There are always a few people struggling to run the store while the manager sits in the office and eats free tacos that we are supposed to pay for.
