Working at SafeAuto Insurance — Reviews by Employees

I was an employee with SA for almost ten years and never in any job prior to this had I been treated so poorly. If you are not in a position of management then you are walked on and treated like dirt so that the higher ups can get themselves further (as if they dont make enough already). It seemed like the only way to stay in a good position was to sleep around with others in managment positon. There was so much inter office sexual crap going on it made me want to throw up. Im sorry but I dont think managers of departments (csd) should be sleeping around with their own employees. And especially VPs (csd again, go figure) shouldnt be doing this- and really should not be going on company paid buisness trips to get drunk and be a ridiculous scene to other people and other employees to only later sleep with more employees. The owners of Safe Auto should consider wiping the slate clean and eliminate most of the so called leaders and replace with respectiable ones. I would think that if you own such a large company you would be worried about your rep, but aparentally they are not. Dont even get me started about how horrible the HR department is to everyone not in their world. They cant get you any help, even though I thought that is what they were supposed to be there for. This company is a joke. I would not recoment any one work there!!!!!

First off, the pay is not even par for an insurance company. If your an indie, stay that way. If your not in the clique, forget about it, you will never go anywhere in the company and you will be stuck in purgatory forever. The benefits are on the same level as other companies, maybe a little more expensive than most. All in all, Safe Auto just sucks. Their demise is on the horizon.

What a joke, Favoritism runs ramped in this company, Whether your there 2 years or 20 years You get no respect..Your just a number.. Hirings for my particular dept are bread upon prior freinds/ co workers, And those that have been there are cast aside, berated, Talked down to by those with little or no experience, But Most of all you get absolutely no respect. Otherwise its a great job, with great benefits and Pay.. But Is all that worth it? If you cant get any respect?

I was offered a Job with this company, but the Vacation was a joke, 1 week to start 2 weeks at 4 yrs. The insurance cost were expensive.
