This company is awesome! If you have ever worked some place that doesn't care about you or your personal life then you know what I mean - becasue they care about you here at Shermco. We work on wind generators all over the country, and they take really good care of us as we do it. Whover said all the negative things on the other comment must still not work here, because they obviously don't (or didn't) fit in. My boss always helps me when I need it - I help the company in return.

WOW! Talk about sour grapes. One reviewer guy really has an axe to grind. I've been here 7 months after working for Fortune 500 companies. Refreshing. They expect you to take your job seriously and create waves, not ride 'em.

From top to bottom everyone here is dedicated to a value system which inspires many if not all to do the impossible daily. It's full of high achievers and low achievers tend to go away.

Great management and workers. Always fair, respectful and appreciative of hard work. I am sure at any company that there will always be people that don't fit in or are disappointed by something about the job, but a person with a bad attitude will always get what they expect.

I've been working here for over 6 years and am still getting alot of overtime. Recently, one of the vice presidents replaced the muffler on my car. When I tried to pay him back, he said that I earned it and don't let Shermco down. Compared to my old company Shermco is a very fair company to their employees.

FYI: Listed comments are bogus...from management to creat the illusion ...again that there are a good and safe company to work for... not! So if management has nothing to hide, then list some of the recent former employees(Names and email address) to validate your prepared statements which as usual is a common thread in this companies PR marketing propaganda. This is also evident in their website ww.shermco.com, NETA trade magazine, advertisements, and semi profession and producticve organizations (Basically a mutual admiration societies..with members patting each other on the backs while prospering form their worker safety and financial hardships on a daily basis!) Think of it as personnel testimonials and/or business references from these former employee who can also tell you how working with Shermco help advanced their career path in an industry politically monopolized by Shermco mainly by their ongoing massive PR propaganda and coverups. This validation does have to come from the service test tech pool, but could include former salesmen, and Engineers PE's that have left the company as well. This would provide a broader sampling from former personnel at all levels and departments. This challenge is mainly for the Irving faciliy as their Austin and new Tulsa branches have their own problems to be discussed and exposed at another time and other websites!

So put up or shut up!

Put up or shut up! Enough of the lies and propaganda! Saying it is so. ..doesn't make it so! Give people the freedom and opportunity to testified to the truth for a change!

Shermco is in the service business, and in an industry that is somewhat hazardous (high voltage equipment and rotating devices such as motors and generators). They take care of their people, pay well, and are in an industry that is fairly resistant to economic swings.

When times are good they have a bunch of new equipment to work on. When times are bad (like now) they help people fix all of their old stuff (or help customers that have lost their work force).

We work at off times (we have to be there when everyone else isn't) such as weekends and holidays, but when we do it pays well, and if we ant time off they let us.

I have had several jobs at other companies - but don't ever plan on leaving this one! They have great management and ever better workers, and besides a few nimrods that slip under the radar (that I suppose everyone has to deal with from time to time). But luckliy the bosses seem to get the "non Shermco-blue" people out of our tight-knit group.

Want a great career with an awesome company? You better make sure you are top notch if you want to work with The A Team!! Otherwise, get on down the road!
